Here we grabbed nifty Android live wallpaper for your eyes, its called aSpiritBomb. By tapping anywhere on the screen, you can now create little orbs that swirl into the glowing center, which resembles a sun. The sun then grows and pulses as you continue to add more and more orbes to it. Dropping an application or widget cause numerous orbes to be launched from it. So be ready for a true tough experience.

Once the sun has grown large, you can tap on it and shoot out tiny specs of light. Double tapping will cause the sun to actually explode, shooting out orbes of every color in all directions. For any of you that have played Geometry Wars, it resembles a wormhole when they explode, which is fine by me.

When I first played Resident Evil on the PS back in the 90s, it was the first time a game ever brought me horror-movie creeps.  I never quite got the same paranoid feeling while playing a game again, but the iPhone title Prisoner 84 did come close a couple of times.

There's nothing especially unique about the gameplay or the story here.  You awaken in solitary confinement at an offshore prison, only to find that everyone inside is either dead or have become some form of zombie-like beings.  So, you spend your time trudging around the prison complex, shooting undead guards and inmates, locating key cards and hunting for clues that allow you to progress towards your objective.   The main goal, by the way, is to find your way outside in one piece, all while the game slowly fills you in about your character's background as a side plot.

As you can tell from that, the story tends to play out like a movie.  In many ways, this is as much a horror film as it is a game too, with gruesome imagery around every corner and a generally disturbing atmosphere as its main highlight.  Plus, the UI is minimalist (no life bars, no aiming reticule, etc), which furthers the movie feel even more.  If you want a game that gives you the chills, you can't go wrong with Prisoner 84.

Unfortunately, actual gameplay isn't as good.  You take on a virtual direction pad for movement, swipe motions to aim and a single button for firing.   A context-sensitive button that lets you interact with the environment will also appear in some scenes.  The actual pace is extremely slow, which does add to the creepy vibe, but can be infuriating for people who'd rather play shooters at a fast pace.

There are plenty of flaws in Prisoner 84 as a game - you can't reload your gun until you've fired all bullets, there's no melee attack (after you use up your clips, all you can do is run and hide), it's easy to get lost in its seemingly-repetitive halls and there are blatant bugs that crashes the whole game.  As a horror experience on the iPhone 4, though, it passes with flying colors.  It's available from the App Store for $2.99.

[Hidden Games]

The podcast discussion which involved Comex, iH8sn0w, PlanetBeing and Chpwn has brought the Jailbreaking delay to the spotlight. The comments from Comex reveal that the Jailbreak may even pass this Sunday as according to his statement the dev team is waiting for Cydia developer Saurik, who has yet to submit his part of the code.

In the unlocking department, the tool is ready and PlanetBeing, who is working on the unlocking tool for iPhone 4 has informed that he is just waiting for the jailbreak to be released.

If Saurik manages to submit his code on time then hopefully we will get the iPhone 4 jailbreak and unlock both on this weekend.

How about an infrared remote that talks to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad via Bluetooth through a free to download app? GEAR4’s new remote called the Unity Remote, to hit stores in October, can actually do that for you at $99.

The iPhone and iPod Touch would make great universal remotes, except for their sad lack of built-in infrared functionality. There’s more than a few third-parties who will add the functionality to your iOS device for a price, but these usually involve bulky cases or easy-to-lose dongles. But finally we have a solution to that- Unity Remote. Just place it anywhere in your room, and when you send it a command from your iPhone or iPad using Bluetooth, it uses five infrared emitters to blast out the appropriate signals to any home theater device within its 360 degree line of site.

Unity Remote is in reality a IR emitting Hub which can communicate with your iPhone via Bluetooth. The app installed on your iPhone provides a variety of control options and you can use the tilt features or you can hit the screen or that sort of thing and those touches, as well as tilts, will be translated to the engine.

The Unity IR Hub will cost you $100 and the app is available for free on the iTunes app store.

Best iPhone RPG game this week is in a side scrolling 2D where the player is required to reach the destination as fast as he can, destroying angry squares that jump in the way. The game called ‘Faster’ is potentially addictive as you will find pleasure in chopping your way off those squares.

The game graphics and characters are cartoonish with 24 different game modes for a good variation in gaming experience. Faster control options include tilt, swipe and DPad but you will enjoy tapping to kill angry sqaures jumping at you on your way.

1.  Nokia 5250 Leaked.

The potential successor to the Nokia 5230 appeared on a Nokia website earlier this week. The 5250 appears to be a new touchscreen phone that will again run Symbian S60 5th Edition, although nothing relating to the specification of the phone was revealed. An official launch can’t be too far away though.

2.  LG Prepare for Windows Phone 7.

We’ve already seen the LG Panther, which was one of the first Windows Phone 7 devices to be pictured, however that won’t be the only phone LG will release using Microsoft’s new OS this year. An LG representative has said that thanks to their ‘deep relationship’ with Microsoft, they intend to have ‘a couple’ of phones on sale before the end of the year.

3.  Hero Gets More Heroic!

The HTC Hero, still a brilliant Android mobile phone, is finally getting its upgrade to v2.1 of the operating system. Both T-Mobile and Orange should be rolling out over-the-air updates very soon, bringing your device right up to date!

4.  Droid X Points and Laughs at iPhone 4 Problems.

It’s Apple’s own fault, as they did show the brand new Motorola Droid X having similar reception problems as the iPhone 4. Motorola have responded with an ad showing the phone and providing a few spec details, all under the heading of ‘No Jacket Required’. This could get messy!

5.  Milestone to Miss Froyo.

The Motorola Milestone, the European name for the Motorola DROID, may not be getting a helping of Froyo. According to James King, Marketing Director for Motorola, the decision to upgrade the phone to Android 2.2 is ’still pending’. Oddly, the DROID will be getting the upgrade…

6.  Apple Investigate iPhone 3G Problems.

It’s not only iPhone 4 owners that Apple have upset recently, it’s 3G owners too thanks to the iOS 4 update that has reduced many phones to a crawl when it comes to opening apps, the calendar or Safari. Little can be done if you don’t have the ability to downgrade the OS back to 3.1.x, however Apple have now said they are looking into the problems, so hopefully this means they will issue a fix sooner rather than later.

7.  Microsoft Add Interns to Windows Phone 7 List.

You may remember that Microsoft announced recently they would be giving all their employees a free Windows Phone 7 device when it’s launched. Well, now all interns working for the company can be added to that list! At an intern meeting recently, Steve Ballmer was asked the question of whether interns were included, to which he replied, ‘Recruiting doesn’t have the budget, but I do. So, Yes!’

8.  Optimus Tablet Confirmed for 2010.

At the beginning of the month, LG hinted that they would be bringing a tablet to their Optimus range of connected devices, a fact now confirmed by the manufacturer. LG say an Optimus tablet will go on sale during Q4 this year and will be running Android, however it wasn’t clear where it would be released. Here’s hoping for worldwide!

9.  Lumigon Phones Coming Soon.

This must have passed us by before, but we’re glad we’ve spotted it now!  Lumigon are a Danish manufacturer and they will be bringing their T1 Android smartphone out in October this year. It’s a 3.2″ touchscreen device with a sliding alphanumeric keyboard, plus a 1Ghz processor and a 5 megapixel camera.
